Marike began her articles of clerkship at Muller, Terblanche & Beyers on 4 January 2021.
After matriculating from Worcester Gymnasium in 2015, Marike left her hometown to complete a Bachelor of Laws degree at the North West University in Potchefstroom.
During her studies, Marike strived to be actively involved in both university activities as well as in her classes and achieved this by joining various university committees and participating in the Faculty of Law’s JUTS Mock Trails. Her hard work and diligence was rewarded when she obtained membership to the Golden Key International Honour Society.
After the completion of her studies, Marike returned to Worcester, eager to learn more and engage in the aspects of law that interests her, including law of succession, trust law and child law. Marike hopes to further her studies with a qualification in International Child Law.
In her free time, Marike enjoys being in the company of her family and friends and unwinds when reading, exploring the beautiful Cape Winelands, or traveling to the West Coast.
